The Hub Angels began meeting in March 2000 with the notion of matching
active, early stage investors with technology-driven, start-up companies.
With a focus on the greater Boston area - known as the "Hub"
by Boston locals - the Hub Angel Investment Group developed its
present methodology and structure of investing which includes a
fund with co-investment rights for the individual Members of the
Fund. Currently there are more than 50 Members in Hub Fund I and
Hub Fund II.
Always with an eye toward diversification, the Hub Angel Group
invests across industry sectors. Thus far Hub has invested in 12
companies including financial services, entertainment, retail, biotechnology,
healthcare, water treatment, food technology, and digital audio.
The Hub Group and its members have invested more than $10 million
in these portfolio companies. Venture firms that have co-invested
